Position Title:

Roads Summer Student

Reports To:

Roads Foreman

PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Town of Erin Roads business unit requires a Summer Student from May to August 2024.

Applicants will be performing the day-to-day general operations in the Roads business unit including the operation of light equipment and trucks.

Duties include, but are not limited to, maintenance of municipal road allowances, litter and waste removal, grass and tree cutting, traffic control, equipment maintenance, sign installation, and painting.

Position Requirements
-
A valid Class G Ontario Driver's License and satisfactory driver's abstract is required
:

Have a working knowledge of the operation of small tools and equipment (weed eater, leaf blower, power broom, etc.).
Must be a motivated and ambitious individual, able to work independently with mínimal supervision and in a team environment

Working Conditions and Environment

The foregoing represents a reasonable statement of the requirements of this position.
Working up to 40 hours a week
Monday
Friday
Some evenings and weekends may be required

Positions will remain open until filled.
