Role Proposition:


Physical Class Requirement:

Medium, work activities involve handling loads between 10 and 20 kg; Predominately in an indoor setting.


Accountabilities:


  • Responsible for efficient food preparation and execution as instructed
  • Ensures kitchen is up to department standards and equipment meets health and safety standards
  • Ensures opening and closing procedures are completed at the assigned station
  • Adheres to a cleaning schedule and ensures daily cleaning details are completed within a timely manner, with the responsibility of all health and safety records for the station
  • Ensures quality food products are delivered promptly and presented appropriately
  • Assists with the correct preparation of all special dietary requests as per established guidelines
  • Possess a positive approach to work while taking direction from leaders
  • Ability to work through highpressure volume periods
  • Shows dedication to a creative and positive work environment, fostering a collaborative approach with all F&B team members
  • Communicates with all F&B team members, ensuring operational information is passed along to all shift leaders
  • Previous experience working in a high fastpaced kitchen environment
  • Possess basic knife skills
  • Working towards a career in culinary or a Red Seal Certification an asset
  • Holds a Food Safe Level 1 Certification
  • Has a basic understanding of kitchen operations
  • Is selfdisciplined with a sincere desire to provide an elevated guest experience
  • Selfstarts on tasks and can respond to varying business volumes as they relate to impacts on the kitchen
  • Is physically capable of working in a fastpaced environment and safely lifting heavy loads of around 23kg
  • Ability to work varying shifts and stand for long periods
