Here at MDS, we are on the lookout for a skilled
Production Technician with expertise in
Electro/Mechanical systems to join our dynamic team.

As a member of the Production Department, you'll play a pivotal role in constructing and installing cutting-edge gas turbine test facilities for our esteemed customers.

What you'll be doing:

Collaborate with a team of skilled Technicians to build and install stateoftheart gas turbine test facilities.
Ensure the seamless integration of Electro/Mechanical systems, demonstrating precision and attention to detail.
Wiring instrumentation panels, racks, and field components.
Operating mechanical and electronic test equipment, including multimeters, signal generators, hydraulic circuit test equipment, and pressure calibrators.
Troubleshooting instrumentation and control circuit components, including pressure transducers and flow meters.
Utilizing various hand tools, crimping tools, torque wrenches, drills, and grinders.
Conducting system checks for field fluid and mechanical systems.
Performing continuity checks for completed cable assemblies and field wiring.
Collaborating effectively within an installation/test team on job sites, showcasing strong teamwork abilities.
Demonstrating a willingness to work beyond contracted hours to meet job requirements and adapt to flexible shifts.
Responding to emergencies outside of regular working hours when necessary.

Who are we looking for?

You bring
35 years of relevant experience in electrical assembly.
You hold a Diploma in Electronics or Electro/Mechanical Technology.
You possess a valid Driver's License.
You hold a valid Passport, coupled with a readiness and ability to engage in international travel for extended periods (2550% of the time)
You are comfortable working at heights exceeding 30 feet (or 9 meters).

What will help you succeed:

Experience with hydraulic components such as fittings, hoses, and valves.
Proficiency in frame alignments, dowelling, and mechanical assembly.
Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings.
Experience in leading installation teams and collaborating with site contractors.
Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written. Second language is an asset.
