The Vancouver School Board welcomes applications for the position of Indigenous Education Enhancement Worker.This is a part-time position with multiple vacancies available. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing instructional programs in Indigenous education history and culture, as well as tutoring students individually or in small groups.
The ideal candidate will have completion of Grade 12 minimum one year post-secondary training in relevant fields such as Psychology Sociology Social Work Child Youth Care Immigration/Migration studies Ethnic/Cultural/Indigenous studies Human Development Family Studies Applied Behaviour Science Child Family Community Studies First Nations Studies First Nations Community Development First Nations Cultural Teachings Indigenous Education Course Work knowledge indigenous culture urban condition willingness travel various schools district restricted candidates aboriginal ancestry applicants indicate identify first nations Metis Inuit Non-Status may work irregular hours before during after school time
