SUMMARY:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and resourceful Facilities Coordinator to join our Canada Yonge Sheppard Center Facilities Team.

This position is great for someone at the beginning of their career, or a few years in, to join a company and team that will provide challenge and growth.

This is a highly visible role with a lot of exposure to different departments and people including leaders of our organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (6 to 8 Bullets)

Be the face of Rakuten Toronto, check-in guests and employees into the office and ensure COVID workplace compliance.

Working from the office location work schedule is Mon-Fri.

Maintain the professional look of the office by keeping meeting rooms and common areas organized.

Manage meeting room calendars and assist in shuffling meeting rooms as needed.

Oversee office supplies and kitchen pantry inventory.

Create work orders and liaise with property management.

Implement emergency preparedness plan for the office.

Plan and execute events such as happy hours, volunteer opportunities, etc. Manage incoming and outgoing mail and shipments.

Some administrative support to GM as needed

Assist any ongoing construction projects

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) (6 to 8 Bullets)

  • Quick learner who can thrive in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize several projects at any given time.
  • Technologically savvy and able to pick up new technologies easily.
  • Previous event planning experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs without issues.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors or Associates Degree
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in an office or customer service environment.
