- Produces machined parts by setting up and operating manual/laser machinery; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
- Produce work according to the required manufacturing standards, work instructions, work order requirements and safety standards.
- Studying work orders, blueprints, materials and specifications.
- Monitor stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock.
- Do regular inventory count of stock
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces, adhering to international standards.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Prior experience operating laser cutting equipment or equipment operations within a manufacturing or trades environment.
- Mechanical Aptitude, Process Improvement, Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Attention to Detail, Judgment, Able to work within a team.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on precision and accuracy.
- Experience reading blueprints a must.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to use tape measure and vernier caliper a must.
- Valid counterbalance Forklift License a must.
- Inventory count experience preferred.
- CNC experience is an asset.
- Experience in Trumpf laser cutting system highly preferred.
- Technical proficiency and a solid understanding of cutting technology are considered strong assets.
