Position Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the SAFE, efficient day-to-day operations of the warehouse. The Warehouse Supervisor is accountable for the product flow through the warehouse. He/she will be responsible for maintaining product inventory, receiving, space management, storing, shipping items and securing warehouse. He/she will be leading, developing and coaching warehouse team to meet company expectation.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Maintaining physical inventories and performing daily and weekly cycle counts and reconciliations.
  • Ensure storage of raw material in accordance with company policies.
  • Performing all functions for maintaining inventory accuracy; investigating and reporting
  • Discrepancies where required both physically and in the system records.
  • Assist Packaging and Processing Teams with prioritizing Inbound Transfers.
  • Manage Outbound material transfers/Kanban to maintain only required quantities in Warehouse.
  • Operating a reach lift to sort, move, locate, relocate, stack, restack and count materials.
  • Maintain accountability for the safe and efficient operation of the lift trucks and comply with all
  • Applicable safety rules and SOPs.
  • Comply with all food safety regulations outlined by the Quality Department for all raw materials and finished goods.
  • Efficiently stacking and storing merchandise in appropriate areas
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean, neat and orderly work area including the cooler and freezer
  • Ensure that operations are conducted in a manner that promotes health and safety
  • Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards
  • Participate in special projects/assignments when needed.
  • Identify and report discrepancies and report to Team Leader immediately.
  • Update stock location slots in system, to ensure items are easily located by plant staff
  • Ensure effective, safe, accurate and timely stock management to include space allocation, stock transfer and dealing with nonconforming product
  • Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees
  • Communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions, recommending compensation actions, adhering to policies and procedures
  • Moves inventory by scheduling products to be moved to and from warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with main plant
  • Supervise and control of the order picking / goods in/ goods out operations to ensure their accuracy with the minimum of handling damage
  • Supervise stock movements and rack locations to ensure they are recorded accurately and presentable for inventory integrity.
  • Plan and coordinate the incoming of goods, storage and dispatch of products in a timely and efficient manner to achieve team objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
  • Prepare and maintain a variety of reports and logs
  • Support his team using the automated warehousing system; Monitor, enter data and correct errors to maintain data integrity in the automated warehouse systems.
  • Liaise daily with other functions with regard to order status updates. Help in the root cause analysis to address issues.
  • Maintain storage areas by organizing cooler / freezer and floor space, adhering to storage design principles; recommending and implement improvements
  • Maintain inventory by conducting physical counts including daily rotating inventory check; reconciling variances and root cause analysis
  • Secure warehouse by controlling alarms and physical device (like door and windows lock); testing systems and regular audits.
  • Keep equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions, logs, troubleshooting breakdowns, requiring preventative maintenance, calling for repairs
  • Represent the department on the Health and Safety Committee as required
  • Follow and practice all GMP's, HACCP and SQF protocols
  • Work in accordance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures and maintain a safe work environment
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Education, Experience & Competency Requirements:


  • Reach truck certification required, experience with double deep reach and train the trainer certificate is an asset.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience require
