Position Summary:


The Project Manager is responsible for the management of complex, multi stakeholder, high profile capital construction projects from conceptual design through to construction completion.

The incumbent will organize and oversee multiple projects and ensure they are completed on schedule and on budget.

In collaboration with project interested parties (including community, tenants, engineers, architects etc.) the Project Manager will determine the project design and construction requirements and subsequently manage the tendering, permitting, design, and construction phases of the project.

Responsibilities will include performing design and constructability reviews, supporting


consultants in implementing out of the box solutions for complex problems and executing a procurement plan based on strict timelines and fixed budget.

The incumbent will also


manage and track project budgets and timelines, conduct site meetings, evaluate project progress, review contractor contemplated change orders and progress claims, provide regular updates to project stakeholders and produce detailed progress reports inclusive of schedule updates and cash flow projections, and ensure contractor adherence to health and safety standards.


Ultimately, this position is responsible for managing a project plan from start to finish, which will enable BuildNova Scotia to achieve its desired outcomes in a supportive and collaborative team environment.

While you would lead the delivery of specific projects, you would be involved in sharing input, ideas, and expertise on all Build Nova Scotia's projects and areas of operation as needed.
