Job Summary:


Reporting to Assistant Director of Operations, the Guest Experience Associate's primary objective is to welcome, assist and advise customers on the cycle of thermotherapy & the benefits, services and activities of Thermëa by Nordik Spa-Nature and, more broadly, promotes tourism of the region.

The Associate will be held to standards of customer service excellence in order to deliver our distinct service product while acting as an ambassador to our customers and handling, in a courteous, quick and efficient manner, various transactions while ensuring the upkeep of the premises.


Responsibilities & Essential Duties:


  • Welcomes and registers guests in a personalised and professional manner;
  • Answers inquiries regarding the services and its facilities;
  • Assists with reservations and maintains customer records; process various payment methods;
  • Maintains par stock of supplies and accessories;
  • Maintains cleanliness of the spa, including reception, lobby, pavilions, treatment rooms, staff areas, and locker rooms;
  • Ensures that all amenities are maintained to the highest standards;
  • Refreshes lockers and refills fresh towels and toiletries;
  • Learn and communicate daily information that will ensure customers have a pleasant stay;
  • Listen to customer needs and respond to their requests;
  • Ensures flow of saunas, and may perform spa rituals inside saunas;
  • Tasks related to starting and monitoring fire;
  • Seasonal outdoor tasks such as sweeping, raking and shovelling ;
  • Monitors and maintains site capacities;
  • Perform other related duties.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma;
  • Oneyear experience in customer service; an asset;
  • Basic knowledge of Windows based software, an asset;
  • Knowledge of the region as well as tourist attractions, an asset;
  • Knowledge of the SpaBooker system, an asset;
  • Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality/Tourism Management; an asset;
  • WHMIS and PHIA Certification; an asset;
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers, managers and other associates;
  • Be in good physical condition; ability to work outdoors during all months of the year (weather appropriate uniform provided); ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time, ability to lift up to 30 lbs.;
  • Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment with a calm demeanor.

Work schedule:

Variable schedule (day, evenings, weekends, holidays).


Salary:

Salary Range $ $19.57 per hour based on experience
