About the opportunity:


The
Online Programs Assistant will work closely with the Virtual Program Coordinator and the Network Coordinator, Membership and Donor Relations providing administrative support and monitoring tutoring sessions on Zoom or Skype.

You will also provide support to Branch offices across Canada, and work directly with CPF volunteers or parents.

About the Work:


  • Provide administrative support with Outlook, Google Drive/Google Docs, Better Impact and Jot Form
  • Provide basic troubleshooting of Skype and Zoom for program participants.
  • Create weekly schedules for the tutoring program.
  • Interview and work directly with CPF volunteers and parents
  • Create and record training material for the virtual tutoring program.
  • Attend weekly meetings with Branch staff and program volunteers.
  • Collaborate with Network staff on the revision of CPF's Volunteer Handbook

About You:

You are enthusiastic, flexible, and capable of working independently and in a team setting. You demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. You possess solid computer skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, organizational and time management skills as well as sound judgment. You are bilingual and comfortable having conversations in both official languages.

What will get you noticed:


  • Sufficient experience with Zoom/Skype platforms to troubleshoot common issues.
  • You are a capable user of Microsoft Office, Google Drive/Google Docs.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Code for Volunteer Involvement and the steps involved in the Volunteer Screening process is an asset.
  • You have experience with the volunteer platform Better Impact or similar.

Important Information:


  • The position is for a 6month period with the possibility of renewal based on funding. We are looking for 23hours per week at $18.00 per hour,
  • The position requires some late afternoon, evening, and weekend work to accommodate possible tutoring session schedules in different time zones.
