Are you a recent graduate looking to gain Human Resources experience? We are hiring for a People & Culture Assistant to coordinate and support our employee-focused programs and initiatives Reporting to the Senior Manager of People & Culture, the People & Culture Assistant will have the opportunity to support all employee-facing projects, while gaining knowledge about employee engagement, training and development, event planning, and more.
Main Responsibilities
- Supporting day to day People & Culture activities, including all administrative functions
- Updating and maintaining employee training records in our HRIS, including scanning documents, uploading files, entering information, etc.
- Preparing virtual or physical setup for scheduled training and/or employee events, including organizing materials, setting up room layout, etc.
- Communicating with training and/or event attendees, including sending reminders, following up with noshows, etc.
- Assisting with internal and external communications, including social media and company intranet
Qualifications
- Entrylevel position: No direct experience needed
- Degree, diploma or certificate in Human Resources or equivalent
- Knowledge of common administrative tasks and high proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication
- Discretion in handling confidential matters and employee information
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check
The People & Culture Assistant will work a 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, working in our North Vancouver office, with an option to work remotely.
Compensation:
$45,000 - $47,000/year + extended health and dental benefits, RRSP matching, and educational assistance

Hollyburn provides a range of professional counselling services to individuals, couples and families, supports families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other pervasive developmental disorders, provides residential care for children and adults with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges, and offers training and support to foster parents and extended families.
