We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to advance the mission of Christ in Central Halifax by overseeing all elements of Parish operations.
S/he will manage resources and staff and engage and motivate volunteers in conjunction with the pastoral leadership and in the context of a Catholic faith community.
This position requires a broad set of competencies, sensitivities, and a depth of knowledge and understanding of the administration of our Parishes and the Catholic Faith.
- has worked in a management position for a minimum of 5 years;
- is knowledgeable in organizational effectiveness and operations management;
- displays and maintains an active spiritual life rooted in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, is committed to personal prayer, and active participation in a church community;
- has a depth of knowledge of the Catholic faith; operational knowledge of Catholic Parishes and churches would be an asset;
- has a solid understanding of business administration and financial principles, including financial planning, auditing, and budgeting;
- has strong organizational and communication skills;
- can problem-solve and multi-task to handle a wide range of duties, properties, and personalities.
This is a full-time, two-year contract position of 35 hours per week, which include some evenings and weekends.
