Tradeshow Technician - Kelowna, Canada - Showtime Event & Display

Introduction:

We are gearing up for a busy tradeshow/festival event season and we are on the lookout for eager event technicians to join our team on a casual on-call or seasonal basis.

An Event Technician works behind the scenes as part of a team to prepare, load/unload gear, set up and dismantle epic events for tradeshows.

The role covers a wide range of disciplines in the industry and is a great opportunity to learn and grow and see your work come to life

We deliver events far and wide across Canada and the USA.


What you will have the opportunity to do:

• Loading and unloading of trucks or trailers on-site and/or at a SWST shop
• Setup and dismantle of tradeshow equipment
• Driving company vehicles and operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc
• Assist in the prep and deprep of equipment
• Provides general customer service support onsite
• Provides general warehouse support
• Ensure proper storage, transportation and maintenance of equipment
• Other duties as required

To be successful in this role you:

• Have a High school education or equivalent
• Have 1+ years of experience in a manual labour role or similar
• Have a valid class 5 BC drivers licence or equivalent
• Are physically fit, safetyminded and able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Have the ability to be flexible in working hours and be available to work outside of regular business hours

• Have experience in driving large trucks
• Possess a valid forklift license

• Based in our Kelowna, BC branch but the role involves traveling to different event sites and venues
• Competitive hourly rate

• Involves physical labor and the requirement to work in different event venues and locations both indoor and outdoors in environments that are often loud and bright.
