What you'll be doing

:


Reporting to the Supervisor, Technology Projects, The IT Business Analyst's role is to elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of project stakeholders, whether they are customers or end users.

Using your communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills you will lead the solution design process, and ensure that project deliverables meet the business needs.


You will be extremely skilled in building rapport with their clients and helping them visualize how a BA can help their team.

You will be a strong facilitator who marries your business knowledge and IT background to conduct interviews aimed at gathering user requirements through workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.

Working with a Project Manager from project inception to completion, you will be responsible for all business analysis documentation and be able to utilize some Agile or Lean principles.

What you'll bring to the table

:

We value lifelong learners and have found that a mix of any of the following experience and credentials have set people up for success in this role in the past:

  • Past experience working as an IT Business Analyst supporting enterprise level technology projects
  • Demonstrated experience and comfort developing process flows, conducting stakeholder workshops and requirements gathering sessions in support of technology projects using a variety of modalities
  • Demonstrated experience developing test plans and participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), tracking and documenting deficiencies
  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite and other project management tools
  • A Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP
  • IIBA) or ITIL Certification would be considered an asset for this position
  • Experience in Quality Assurance (QA) would be an asset for this position
