You provide supportfor the maintenance of the safety management system and environmental healthand safety functions, and you'll have a hands-on approach to health &safety and continuous improvement within your department.

HowYou'll Make an Impact

  • Assist in the improvement and maintain of managementsystem procedures, in line with applicable standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001 andISO 9001) and legislative requirements
  • Assist with completing Environmental Reporting,accounts, waste manifests and submission of Ministry of Environment Reports(ChemTrac, NPRI, TRA)
  • Assist and manage EHS documentation such as policies,procedures, work instructions, document revision and archiving.
  • Assist with Contractor Safety Management andparticipating in EHS projects that requires process change managementrequirements and prestart reviews (PSR) documentations.
  • Manage EHS training process such as planning, recordkeeping and support the development of effective EHS training programs.
  • Assist with ergonomic assessments, environmentalaspects and impacts and maintain risk assessments.
  • Involvement in JHSC meetings,Ministry of Labour Interactions, and inspections, ISO audits, identification ofhazards and corrections, and other preventative approaches.
  • Participate in root cause analysisand follow up on first aid cases, open / corrective actions
  • Assist with Siemens Energy's ZeroHarm Program imitative requirements such as Safety Sprint, Safety Walks andHazard Reporting

What You Bring

  • Must be available for a minimum 6months coopposition
  • Enrolled in a University / College program related to OccupationalHealth & Safety
  • An aptitude for problem solving; strong writing andverbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and otherdigital solutions
  • Ability to work with variety of employee types(production staff, office support, management)
  • A strong commitment to excellence and to personal andprofessional growth
  • Must be a resourceful, responsible, tenacious,independent, and confident team player
  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and drivingresults
