Overview


Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate plays a pivotal role in our operations, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of products while fostering a culture of safety and cleanliness.

Key responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks and product handling, order fulfillment, inventory management and administration, and operation of forklift and pallet jack machines.

Strong attention to detail, problem solving, and excellent communication skills are essential.

The ability to work under pressure, build effective relationships, and exhibit integrity and good judgement in all activities is crucial.


Accountabilities

  • Performs various warehouse activities, including loading and unloading trucks, handling product on the warehouse floor and filling orders in accordance with standard operating procedures and processes.
  • Maintains accurate receiving, inventory, and shipping records, documenting information in computerized files in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Promotes a clean and organized warehouse floor, ensuring a safe working environment through diligent maintenance and enforcement of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Performs pretrip inspections and tops up fluids as required. Reports any vehicle deficiencies to the assistant warehouse manager to arrange for repairs; may be responsible for driving company trucks to deliver and pickup products.
  • Other warehouse duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor during production downtimes, including picking and loading/unloading trucks.

Required Knowledge & Abilities

  • Knowledge and experience in warehousing, including operation of forklift and pallet jack machine(s).
  • Knowledge of MS Applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills, including active listening and effective communication of information and ideas through a variety of mediums to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrable integrity, trust, and safety in all activities, working cooperatively within a team environment, as well as working independently.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues. Strong desire to exceed customer expectations and promote a customerfocused culture in alignment with the company's core values, guiding principles, and goals.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to set priorities and meet target goals in a fastpaced sales environment.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues using sound judgment and creative thinking.
  • Positive and engaging attitude, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and fun working environment.
  • Ability to work in cold temperatures in a warehouse and product storage environment.
  • Ability to safely and routinely lift boxes up to 50lbs.
  • Availability for flexible scheduling if required (occasional split and/or weekend shift).

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum, 2years of related experience in inventory and warehouse operations; produce experience an asset.
  • Forklift and pallet jack certification preferred.
  • First-Aid certification considered an asset.
