Here is what you will do_

VitalAire is currently recruiting an energetic and motivated full-time Service Technician in Mississauga.

The Service Technician is responsible to maintain, validate and verify proper functioning of equipment providing medical gases to facilities in a safe manner.


  • Performs preventative maintenance on medical gas distribution network such as bulk gas storage system (Oxygen and Nitrogen), high pressure medical gas cylinders, medical air systems, medical vacuum systems, outlets and alarm panels to ensure uninterrupted supply of medical gasses
  • Troubleshoot and replace/repair medical gas system components according to manufacturer's standards to ensure proper operation
  • Generate maintenance reports and deficiencies on medical gas systems to be compliant with regulatory requirements (e.g. CSA Z7396, NFPA 55 and ASME B31.3)
  • Manage and update equipment records for each facility
  • Supports the sales team by providing technical expertise and sharing opportunities to win contracts
  • Able to perform brazing on site and in shop to fabricate panels and spool pieces

Here's what you will need_

  • Previous 2 to 3 years' service and maintenance related experience
  • Apprentice or Journeyman qualification in plumbing/pipe fitting would be an asset
  • Good skills in fields of mechanical, hydraulic, electronic or pressure vessels.
  • Mechanically inclined and experience in repair, maintenance, calibration, and installation of electrical, pneumatic and electronic health care equipment would be an asset
  • Valid driver's license
  • Computer literate in Google environment and Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills, problem solving, and customer service skills
