A day in the life:

Dexypaws is currently in the search of a Warehouse Shipper/Manager to support various tasks of the business. Each day could bring different challenges as the business is scaling.

As a Warehouse Shipper/Manager at Dexypaws, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping and receiving processes.

You'll lead a team, manage inventory, maintain quality control, and uphold safety standards. If you're passionate about pets, logistics, and creating a positive impact, this role is for you


Responsibilities

Team Leadership:

• Provide leadership and guidance to the shipping and receiving team.
• Ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Workflow Management:

• Oversee the workflow of shipping and receiving operations.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
• Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and logistics partners.

Inventory Management:

• Supervise inventory control processes.
• Accurately receive, store, and distribute goods.
• Maintain organized inventory records.

Quality Control:

• Ensure that all shipped and received items meet quality standards.
• Properly document shipments and receipts.

Communication:

• Act as a liaison between warehouse staff, management, and other departments.
• Facilitate smooth operations by maintaining effective communication channels.

Training and Development:

• Train new team members on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Problem Solving:

• Address any issues or discrepancies during shipping and receiving operations.
• Implement solutions to prevent recurrence.

Performance Monitoring:

• Monitor team performance and productivity metrics.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize efficiency.

Safety Compliance:

• Enforce safety regulations within the warehouse.
• Promote a culture of workplace safety among team members.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, and inventory levels.
• Utilize warehouse management systems or other tracking tools.

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience in shipping and receiving, including forklift and order picker operation.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in navigating retailer portals for load booking.

Attention to Detail: Ability to inspect incoming shipments for accuracy.
