Aquatics Program Coordinator
A successful Aquatics Program Coordinator will have a passion for teaching and developing youth's swimming skills and knowledge. TAC Aquatics is a current Lifesaving Society affiliate, we strive to deliver the Swim for Life, Canadian Swim Patrol, Lifesaving and Lifeguarding programs developed by the Lifesaving Society
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the coordination of the planning, organization, and overall operation of Aquatic programs offered
- Ensure that all facilities are appropriately equipped.
- Execute emergency procedures and uses safety/rescue equipment.
- Perform and/or supervises administrative tasks to support the program, including processing registrations, refunds, and cancellations.
- Interact with the public and staff to provide program information, with a high standard of customer service practices.
- Ensure that all facilities/programs are properly staffed.
- Ensure that all staff is qualified and trained in emergency procedures and in the skills required for their position.
- Monitor the performance of assigned Aquatic staff.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of special events.
- Attendsand participates in meetings and training sessions.
- Coordinatesthe implementation of staff training.
- Performsmaintenance/janitorial duties,including but not restricted to: changing room/washroom cleaning and disinfecting, pool chemistry tests, vacuuming, backwashing, chemical balancing, and pool fouling clean up.
Required:
- National Lifeguard Certification (Must be Active)
- Previous experience as an Aquatics Deck Supervisor
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check (or willing to obtain one)
- Standard First aid and CPR Level C
Assets:
- Lifesaving Instructor Certification
- National Lifeguard Instructor Certification
- Swim Instructor Trainer Certification
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check (or willing to obtain one)
- Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
Compensation:
Aquatics Coordinator's will be compensated based on the designation of the task they are performing.
- Supervisor rate (Overseeing programs on site): $27$32 an hour
- Admin Rate (Performing administrative tasks in preperations of programs) $17 $20 an hour
Salary:
$17.00-$32.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Thornhill, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
