    Our Engineering Design Organization (EDO) is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to tackle the role of Engineering Graduate Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) based out of one of our Southern Ontario offices: Waterloo , Mississauga , Markham , Toronto , or Whitby .     As a member of the multidiscipline design team, you will work on a broad spectrum of I&C design aspects for multiple projects including new installations and upgrades of existing systems.

    The successful candidate will be accountable for:

  • Assistance in preparation of drawing packages for projects of varying scale.
  • Assistance in preparation of documentation including device specifications, device lists, bill-of-materials, technical reports, etc.
  • Assistance with proposal requests and write ups.
  • Coordination with other disciplines (process, mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, .
  • Ensuring compliance with customer specifications and relevant industry codes and standards.
  • Delivering work within assignment scope, on time and budget.
  • Complying with GHD's Health and Safety policy and procedures, and applicable project plans.
  • Developing understanding of the discipline by researching regulatory requirements and developments in the technical field.
  • Living GHD's values - Teamwork, Respect, Integrity and Safety.
  • Participation in the Young Professionals group in the Region, and Graduate Development Program activities.
  • Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • 1+ years' relevant internship experience. Sound understanding of Engineering principles, and an aptitude for design development.
  • Working knowledge of drafting tools such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and team playing skills.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written/oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, with strong desire to learn.
  • Working towards Registered member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario.
  • A valid driver's license.
