  • Position Description:
  • The Waste Process Technician III (WPT III) is a skilled waste processing technician with >3 years' experience processing industrial waste. The WPT III will be experienced and capable to conduct all waste processing activities that the facility offers while utilizing the various equipment and processes available to them independently. The WPT III will also be adept in all aspects of ERP system as it relates receiving, processing, and shipping outbound waste/material. The WPT III will perform waste analysis that could include bucket test, filter test, pH, flashpoint, and any other testing requirements that support permit or company policies and procedures.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate sampling and analysis to determine the correct course of treatment for non hazardous waste as prescribed by standard procedures and operational permits.-
  • Perform waste stream QA/QC & Lab analysis associated with receiving and shipping waste/material-
  • Knowledge in lab pack segregation and processing.-
  • Operate a variety of equipment including shredders, conveyor belts, hand trucks, forklifts, and other power tools in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as Occupational Health and Safety requirements.-
  • Knowledge to perform waste analysis that could include bucket test, filter test, pH, flashpoint, and any other testing requirements that support permit or company policies and procedures.-
  • Demonstrate proficiency in working with hazardous and non-hazardous special chemical waste using knowledge.-
  • Responsible for the segregation, packaging, labeling, and loading for transportation of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials.-
  • Perform housekeeping tasks to always maintain a safe work area.-
  • Submits all associated paperwork, as required, for regulatory and safety record keeping requirements.-
  • Allocate Associate resources as required during the shift-
  • Lead and/or facilitate troubleshooting of production-
  • Assist in the development of programs, procedures, policies, training documentation and other pertinent information-
  • Respond to Associate issues concerning quality, communication, safety, and ensure associates follow all company policies and procedures-
  • Provide a safe work environment for all team members-
  • Complete daily standard work audits-
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously-
  • Help coordinate team activities and ensuring deadlines are met-
  • Act as a liaison between the team and the supervisor, relaying any concerns or updates-
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned (includes all non-essential or non-major activities)
  • Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED required-
  • 3-4 years of experience-
  • Valid license-
  • Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, bend, and twist for extended periods of time.-
  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds-
  • Walking on elevated platforms or scaffolding-
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel-
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
