About the role


Canadian Blood Services is looking for a
Regular part-time
Program Clerk to join our dynamic
Supply Chain Operations team in
Vancouver.


The Supply Chain Team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services collecting donor blood in a safe manner to enable safe products which save lives every day.

In this role, you will assist in the collection of blood and blood products ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and all required documentation is carried out.

You will play an integral part in building and promoting a positive donor experience and encouraging donations.


Formula for Success

  • Utilizing your superb organization skills, you will be maintaining and updating controlled document binders, as well as maintaining and updating training records by tracking professional certification dates
  • Drawing on your experience and administrative skills, you will be setting up and maintaining staff training schedules, taking minutes for meetings, and assisting with preparing information packages for promotions of the program
  • With your excellent interpersonal skills, you will provide clerical support to department trainers, and assist in New Employee Orientation
  • Drawing on your ability to be detail oriented, you will prepare and distribute training materials while ensuring return for compliance; you will also use your attentiontodetail to verify donor donation history using eProgesa and processes post donation clinic forms

Desired Education and Skills

  • Grade 12, two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Ability to type at 45 w.p.m and advanced Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to deal with other's effectively
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • Ability to organize work
  • Ability to operate related equipment

What You Can Expect

  • Working days: Monday to Saturday

Start and end time:
07:00 to 15:00 or 08:00 to 16:00 or 09:00 to 17:00.

Rest days:
Saturday and Sunday or Sunday and Monday

  • Physical requirements for the role include the ability to lift weight up to 10 kg
