POSITION OVERVIEW:


Reporting to the Branch Manager, the incumbent of the position is responsible for the planning and execution of all warehouse shipments/receiving operations and inventory management.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Create manifests for daily shipping needs
  • Plan transfers/pickups
  • Generate pick lists for the daily schedule
  • Picking and shipping of orders on time
  • Responsible for handling complaints with carriers
  • Negotiate and get the best transportation rates available
  • Supervise warehouse staff with the help of the branch manager
  • Maintain order and cleanliness in the warehouse
  • Comply with all security policies and procedures and ensure the safety of warehouse employees
  • Conduct monthly inspections of the workplace and send it to the Director of Human Resources
  • Perform inventory accounts
  • Work collaboratively with the branch manager to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Assist in hiring warehouse staff
  • Other assigned functions

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bilingual: French & English is required
  • 2 years of warehouse supervision experience
  • Excellent communication skills; must be able to work well with others.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Possesses superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with mínimal supervision
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Attention to details
  • Demonstrate leadership in achieving the company's short
- and long-term goals.

  • Basic computer skills required in Microsoft Office
  • Lifting capacity: 50 lbs plus
  • Overtime may be required
