Fiamo Italian Kitchen is now screening applicants for the position of Front of House General Manager.

Fiamo is a well established, locally owned, independently operated restaurant in Victoria, BC. We define success as a thriving business with happy, motivated staff and satisfied, loyal customers. We are looking for a manager who shares those values.

We serve delicious, rustic Italian food in an unpretentious way.

The person who fills this role should be passionate about providing excellent hospitality, capable of managing and cultivating a team of industry professionals and excited to work alongside ownership and management to continue to develop our business.


The General Manager position at Fiamo requires hands-on leadership on the floor 4 shifts per week and 1 administrative shift per week.

Fiamo is open from dinner to late, every night of the week. Availability to work late nights and weekends is a must.

Daily duties of the GM role include, but are not limited to:
Scheduling, event coordinating, inventory tracking and management, ordering, networking, team building, strategizing, marketing & training.

  • Ability to self direct day to day schedule and responsibilities
  • Manage inventory and labour costs
  • Track and project sales
  • Collaborate on marketing and menu development concepts
  • Role model superb service standards and work ethic
  • Actively involved in Victoria's hospitality culture and able to represent and promote Fiamo within our community
  • Minimum 2 years hospitality experience in a leadership role
  • Valid SIR
  • Bartending experience in a cocktail environment
  • Serving experience in a fine dining environment
  • Serving experience in a high volume environment
  • WSET Level 2 or higher
  • Education in hospitality management
We are offering a competitive base salary, annual bonus structure, bi weekly tips and travel allowance bonuses. The salary range starts at $60,000. A higher salary is negotiable, depending upon skills and experience.
