    GOODLIFE KIDS FOUNDATION – MOVE ASSOCIATE EXPERIENCE SUPERVISOR

    Remote in Canada

    IMPORTANT – This position is with GoodLife Kids Foundation and not a role with GoodLife Fitness.

    The MOVE Program

    GoodLife Kids Foundation (GLKF) has a vision for all kids and youth with autism and intellectual disabilities to experience the joys and benefits of being active. The MOVE by GoodLife Kids program is a physical activity and fitness program for youth ages 12 – 21 years with autism and intellectual disabilities.

    MOVE by GoodLife Kids Program class runs across Canada up to three times per week and will have up to ten participants in attendance. MOVE Classes incorporate social time, workouts, dancing, and mental wellness. Our Associates include a team of Coaches and Support Agents. Our MOVE Coaches are fitness professionals with training and experience in working with people with autism and intellectual disabilities. Our MOVE Support Agents are there to assist with technology and perform roles such as admittance from Zoom waiting room, muting/unmuting participants, and playing music and videos.

    The MOVE Associate Experience Supervisor plays an important part in the ability to offer MOVE programs to more youth with autism and intellectual disabilities across Canada.

    What is a MOVE Associate Experience Supervisor?

    This role is responsible for supervising and engaging a team of Associates for the MOVE by GoodLife Kids Program. Through collaboration, this role assists with identifying program needs to enhance program development, retention and sustainability. Finally, this role contributes to facilitating the program logistics to ensure a positive experience for all.

    This would be a remote position with 15-20 hours per week with the potential to travel on site.

    What will you be doing?

    Relationship Management & Professional Development

    • Leads coaching, learning, development, and performance management of all direct reports to ensure a positive and safe working experience.
    • Coordinates and conducts individual monthly meeting with all direct reports.
    • Collaborates and organizes the execution of monthly team meetings for all Associates
    • Discover and share best practices with the team as the MOVE Program evolves
    • Represent GoodLife Kids Foundation in a professional, positive, caring, and friendly manner

    Administrative

    • Manages the completion and approval of bi-weekly timesheets for all direct reports.
    • Acts as liaison for the GoodLife Kids Foundation and the MOVE program associates.
    • Assist with program planning, implementation and evaluation in order to deliver an impacting national physical activity and fitness program.
    • Contribute to the design and generation of internal program documents.

    Hiring/Onboarding/Training

    • Assist with training and onboarding of new Associates through collaboration to ensure completion in a timely manner.
    • Identify hiring needs or training gaps to ensure accurate resources and training are provided to Associates.

    Do you have what it takes?

    • Minimum 1 - year supervisory experience with staff and volunteers
    • Ability to coordinate, mentor, supervise and build a positive rapport with Associates.
    • Passion for working with individuals with disabilities, specifically autism and intellectual disabilities
    • Highly collaborative spirit and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others to support establishing and achieving collective goals.
    • Experience with Zoom and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication.
    • A proactive, flexible, and adaptable mindset
    • Access to reliable internet connection that supports uninterrupted video conferencing

    Nice to haves.

    • Experience working with individuals with disabilities
    • Experience in the fitness industry
    • Relevant fitness-related certification or education (i.e., Fitness Instructor Specialist (FIS)/Personal Training Specialist (PTS) or a diploma in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology and/or Physical Education, etc.)

    Availability

    This is a remote position with 25-30 hours a week, with Monday to Friday availability required.
