The Learning and Development Specialist is a newly created critical role that supports the organization in achieving our strategic goals through the development and administration of impactful employee centric learning and development systems, programs and initiatives.

The work you will undertake will complement the other Organizational Development and Change Management services we provide to the NAIT community.

Ultimately, the work of the entire ODS team is rooted in building capacity in the individual, the team, and the organization, so we can continue to deliver on the vision of our institutional strategic plan, The NAIT Effect.


Reporting to the Director of Organizational Development Services, the Learning and Development Specialist will support the development of an efficient and effective learning and development eco-system that provides consistently exceptional end-user experience.

You will engage with members of the NAIT community regularly to ensure that their training needs are being met.

Most importantly, you are a team player that supports others on the ODS team, listening with the intent to understand the diverse perspectives of your colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

Administer NAIT's employee training capabilities, while ensuring a smooth transition to our new learning management system, Brightspace.
Conduct needs assessments, efficacy evaluations, quality assurance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives related to NAIT's training programs.

Develop comprehensive learning programs in a variety of modalities utilizing third party training solutions as well as internally built solutions.

Support and collaborate with the Organizational Development Services team on organizational learning and development projects and initiatives with multiple stakeholders, including large scale community events.

Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance employee skills and competencies.

Qualifications:

A related undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Experience in developing and administering organizational learning systems, programs and initiatives would be considered an asset.


Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).


Remuneration:
$79, $105,715.48 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
