    The Opportunity

    The City of St. Albert is recruiting an individual to join our Planning & Development department as an Administrative Assistant for a temporary assignment.

    Reporting to the Financial Officer, this position will be responsible for the full range of administrative support for the department.

    The key responsibilities will include:

    •Provide administrative support to Planning & Development and Engineering departments.

    •Front-line customer service to internal and external clients.

    •Receipt and processing of development and building permits, compliance certificates, and encroachment agreements.

    •Daily deposits and financial transactions

    Qualifications


    • High school diploma combined with 3 years related experience

    • Working towards or completion of a post-secondary administrative certificate program (such as an Office Administration Certificate) from a recognized post-secondary institution.

    • Strong organizational skill and detail orientation.

    • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

    • Experience with POSSE, Tempest, Pictometry are assets.

    • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Municipal Government.

    Hours of Work

    We offer a compressed bi-weekly work schedule of 72 hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 – 5:00, with a biweekly regular day off (RDO).

    Compensation

    $1, ,326.88 bi-weekly.

    Term

    This is a temporary assignment from May September
