As a _
Building Automation Controls Technician_, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting building automation systems and controls.

You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure that systems are installed and programmed correctly and to the highest quality standards.

You will also be responsible for testing, commissioning, and maintaining building automation systems to ensure optimal performance.


Responsibilities:


  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot building automation systems, including sensors, controllers, and actuators.
  • Develop and implement control strategies using systemlevel software to optimize energy efficiency and enhance operational performance.

(Niagara N4 experience required):


  • Program and integrate building automation systems with other systems, such as HVAC and lighting, to provide a comprehensive building automation solution.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure that building automation systems are installed and programmed correctly and to the highest quality standards.
  • Test and commission building automation systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building automation systems to ensure ongoing performance.
  • Diagnose and repair system malfunctions, identify and implement corrective actions, and ensure that systems are operating correctly.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of all system installations, configurations, and maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical support to clients and other team members as needed.
  • Take part in the afterhours oncall rotation
  • Provide Customer training as required

Qualifications & Requirements:

- college technical degree or equivalent combination of education and related practical experience in building mechanics, instrumentation Engineering and Technology, Control Technician Apprenticeship and control or related area.

  • Strong experience in building automation systems installation and programming, including programming and integration with other systems.
  • Wellversed in Honeywell Webs devices and Niagara N4 software is required
  • Familiarity with industry protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Building Automation System Technician (BAS Technician) are a plus.
  • An indepth understanding of control systems, HVAC, and other building automation
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Previous instrumentation experience preferred
  • Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.

Job Types:

Salary:
$70.00-$105.00 per year
