Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and capturing new business opportunities in the Toronto and GTA market.
- Develop relationships that will lead to and generate business opportunities, from within the real estate, design, and project management communities.
- Participate in the development of strategic business targets for negotiated and tendered opportunities.
- Establish and maintain positive business relationships with clients
- Assist in proposal creation, contract negotiations, and presentations.
- Develop innovative public relations and/or promotional programs to generate corporate awareness within the specific target audience.
- Work within and have a deep understanding of a CRM program and provide regular updates on strategic progress and forecast updates.
- Support the transition from project pursuit to project implementation.
- Network within the various industry associations and gain knowledge on national and local economic trends impacting construction opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of business development experience, preferable in the construction, project management, commercial real estate, or similar.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with advanced presentation skills.
- Strong problemsolving skills with a proven ability, as a business developer, to winning work.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, adapt to changing priorities, maintain patience in high pressure situations and take initiative where appropriate.
- Strong negotiation skills, basic understanding of contracts and leases
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Microsoft Project and CRM platforms. Knowledge of InDesign graphic software an asset.
