Hiring 2 Pet Consultant positions in the Pickering/ Ajax area one fullyime one part-time. You must be available Monday-Friday during the day with the occasional evening and 1 weekend per month on call.

You will require your own vehicle to get to and from clients homes and be required to transport dogs in your vehicle.

Duties include...

• Pick up and drop off dogs from their homes for walks
• Ensure security of their homes when picking up and dropping off
• Understand special requests and conditions for each animal
• Conduct pet sitting in clients homes (this requires early morning 7:30am up to 11pm visits)
• Walk dogs outdoors in all weather conditions (anywhere from 15 minutes to 1 hour at a time)
• Transportation of some dogs for group walks if required
• Give each dog love and attention
• Ensure each dog is getting exercise and potty breaks
• Ensure safety of the dogs you are walking and those (humans and dogs) around them
• Remove pet waste
• Give medication if required
• Maintain leadership of the pack of dogs (if walking multiple dogs at a time)
• Take photos of the dogs (so human clients can see how they are doing)
• Refresh water, wipe paws and give treats
• Update manager with text including photos or videos of dogs
• Record which dog(s) you walked, how long the walks were, anything abnormal that you noticed during the walk
• Keep track of your time and submit to the employer

Pay is 75% of walks, you are responsible for your own gas and car maintenance. This job takes a special kind of person, one who is fit and healthy.

We work rain or shine You will have your own set of clients so someone who puts the dogs first is a must, if you often require days off during the week for personal obligations this is not a job for Our walkers are a team, we are a close nit group and are ever increasing our knowledge through certifications in dog handling, we share knowledge and are in this for the dogs.
