    About this opportunity:

    Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Downstream Business Opportunities, the Business Process Analyst works across downstream asset teams and with various supporting functions to support Downstream Value Capture work and the streamlining and standardization of critical business processes.

    Developing a standard way of working is key to enhancing the safety/profitability/mobility of staff across Downstream, as well as establishing Cenovus as a company that can acquire and quickly integrate new assets. The role provides visibility to the work across the various teams which will help Downstream leadership: prioritize work, standardize work where appropriate and ensure new work contributes to organizational priorities. This role then assists with individual projects to progress according to project objectives. This role also provides support to Downstream value capture initiatives, these initiatives work with various downstream Assets to support them in increasing asset profitability.

    What you'll do:

  • Develop portfolio view of Standard/Work Process optimization work required/underway.
  • Track progress of projects, develop reporting and provide visibility to progress of the portfolio.
  • Work with relevant teams to document roadmaps of the process work
  • Collaborate other areas of the business and supporting functions to identify when opportunities should be considered company wide.
  • Coordinating, participating in, or leading projects as assigned
  • Support networks between asset teams as they consider opportunities & work through issues.
  • Work with appropriate teams to ensure ownership and proper documentation as required.
  • Manage break in work as new priorities are identified by leadership.
  • The role is not intended to be an expert in all areas but must be able to work with others to progress process standardization and value capture efforts.
  • Experience with critical processes would be considered an asset.
  • Position may require infrequent travel to company assets.
  • Who you are:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Education: MBA, PEng, or Bachelor of Commerce/Finance
  • Business Acumen: Minimum 6+ years of experience working within Downstream or similar environment.
  • Project Management experience leading projects considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Business Process Development, Analysis, Improvement and Management
