Job Overview:
We are seeking a Junior Estimator to join our team. As a Junior Estimator, you will assist in estimating project costs and preparing bids for commercial millwork projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, has strong analytical skills, and is looking to develop their career in the construction industry.

Duties:

• Assist in reviewing project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements
• Collaborate with senior estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
• Research and gather data on materials from suppliers and subcontractors
• Utilize estimating software and tools to create detailed cost breakdowns and bid proposals
• Maintain organized records of bid documents, estimates, and related correspondence
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of bids

Experience:

• Previous experience in construction estimating or related field is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Familiarity with construction plans, specifications, and industry standards
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
