ENVIRONMENTAL FIELD TECHNICIAN (ENTRY-LEVEL)

JOIN OUR TEAM

• Conduct designated substance and hazardous material surveys
• Perform studies relating to mould, water damage, and indoor air quality
• Collect bulk/air samples in accordance with industry standards and methods
• Evaluate and interpret environmental data
• Generate reports based on results of environmental studies
• Assist with the development of field sampling plans
• Communicate with clients, Joint Health and Safety Committees, and other parties as required

EXPERIENCE AND ASSETS

• Leadership skills
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Organizational skills
• A strong work ethic
• Live within the Niagara, Haldimand, or Hamilton regions
• Possess a valid Gclass license
• Have access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to travel

The following training and certifications are considered assets but are not required:

• AutoCAD training
• Professional Geoscientist certification (P.Geo, GIT)
• Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T), Certified Technician (C. Tech)
• Environmental Professional certification (E.Pt, E.P)
• Asbestos worker training
• Hazard awareness training
• First aid certification

Job Type:
Contract, part-time (but may be required to work full-time hours as project load increases)


Probation Period:
Six (6) months. A performance review will take place at three (3) months.

Pay:
$22.00-$24.00 per hour
