Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality meals. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about the food industry and eager to develop their culinary skills in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assemble components for menu items, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as cooking, plating, and portioning dishes according to recipes and standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
• Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of food items
• Support the kitchen team during busy periods by efficiently completing assigned prep tasks
• Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supplies needed

Experience

• Prior experience in food service or restaurant kitchens is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards is advantageous
• Familiarity with serving and meal presentation enhances performance in this role
• Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen environment demonstrates reliability and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
