HR GENERALIST (full-time/permanent)
JOB PURPOSE
The HR Generalist role at Ve'ahavta is essential to ensure the smooth operations of our human resources department's processes. This role includes a significant focus on the recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
Our HR Generalist is responsible for making sure that effective systems are in place to keep our recruitment cycle efficient, while actively seeking stellar additions to our team as required.
As Ve'ahavta's HR Generalist, you will also play a key role in the creation and implementation of several policies and procedures, as well as a leadership role in our Social and Culture Club, along with our Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee to continue bringing our organizational values to life

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Our HR Generalist ensures a warm welcome and an effective orientation period by overseeing the onboarding process for new employees.
You will schedule training meetings, assist with basic tech setup, and function as the practical "support hub" for our new team members.

Your central role on the Social and Culture Club committee, as one of Ve'ahavta's culture champions, will require you to attend meetings regularly and contribute to the development and implementation of new initiatives to maintain our positive and engaging work environment.

We are seeking a highly motivated and system-oriented people-person who meets the following eligibility criteria:
Qualifications/Required Skills:
- Postsecondary education in human resources administration or equivalent
- 2 years minimum of experience working in business and/or human resource administration and recruitment
- Demonstrates superb interpersonal skills
- Experience working with diverse groups
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Selfstarter with a proactive and 'handson' approach to problemsolving and time management
- Highly developed organizational skills and experience in document and file management
- Ability to manage sensitive issues with patience, tact, and diplomacy and uphold confidentiality
- Demonstrates good judgment, trust, and accountability
- Exhibits organizational values of respect, inclusivity, responsibility, and empathy
- Missiondriven, flexible, and passionate
