If you are analytical by nature, have excellent attention to detail and have a strong background in P&C insurance, Grenville Mutual Insurance is looking for you to join our Underwriting Team.

As a member of the team, you will focus on farm, commercial, and residential risks.

As the
Underwriter, Agribusiness & Commercial, you can play a key role in fulfilling this commitment.


Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Quoting, underwriting and issuing new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations for all aspects of farm & commercial property policies
  • Reviewing risk inspections and creating risk management recommendations
  • Building strong relationships with agent/broker partners
  • Identifying opportunities to up sell products, coverage, and limits
  • Sharing knowledge, collaborating with team members and staying current on industry and market trends.
  • A minimum of 5 years insurance industry experience is required
  • Graduate from a recognized Insurance diploma program or the equivalent combination of experience, education and training. (CIP or progress towards is desirable)
  • Background and experience in agricultural and/or farm operations
  • Customer focused; service oriented
  • Planning, analysis, and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work well independently with mínimal supervision, or as part of a team
