PWL Partnership is seeking an
IT and BIM Specialist passionate about helping people succeed through technology, supporting a dynamic and passionate team of Landscape Architects and Urban Designers.

As the IT and BIM Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring PWL's technology infrastructure runs smoothly and in supporting PWL in expanding our BIM capabilities.

Our administrative team is small but mighty, providing the tools, technology and expertise to support our organization's strategic goals. You will also work with talented IT and software vendors to execute your role.


When it comes to education and experience, you have:

  • 3 + years experience in a similar or related role.
  • Diploma or degree in a related field and demonstrated experience and understanding of relevant architecture and engineering consulting disciplines.
  • Practical experience working with the following programs would be considered a strong asset: Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Revit, ArcGIS Pro, Rhino 3D (Rhino), and SketchUp, including experience with 3D Modelling and BIM. Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop);
  • A background in technical training is a plus.
  • Expertise in Apple Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 software tools on Macs.
  • Flexibility to work infrequent evenings or weekends to address critical needs.
  • Experience managing relationships with IT service vendors is valuable.
  • PWL is a hybrid workplace; this position will be required to be in the office four (4) days per week.

  • Providing end-user support and training to optimize technology use with a user-centered, friendly, and collaborative approach
  • Guiding and educating employees on best practices for using the products
  • Communicating technical concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Triaging IT issues and coordinate with venders to resolve them.
  • Evaluating and recommending new technology solutions to the Partners to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Creating and updating CAD and designrelated standards to ensure quality and sustainability.
  • Creating and updating CADrelated content: workspace, templates, libraries, general resources, standards, and training documentation.
  • Developing and maintaining QA/QC programs to ensure drawing quality is high.
  • Promoting the expansion of BIM capabilities at PWL
  • Facilitating the exchange of BIM data and agreement of working standards and coordination between disciplines.
  • Conducting regular reviews and audits of BIM output to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards.
  • Identifying and resolving issues or discrepancies.
  • Overseeing projectrelated BIM

Execution Plans:

develop and manage BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) for specific projects and outline the BIM processes, responsibilities, and deliverables for each project phase.
