- Prepares dining room for all services which includes; setting tables, stocking necessary items, assisting the preparation, presentation and serving of food and beverages.
- Carries out general cleaning duties in the dining room which includes; clearing and bussing tables, scrapping and at times washing dishes while following the company's Infection Protection and Control guidelines.
- Establish and maintain an atmosphere conduciveto pleasant dining by creating an environment which maintains the happiness,self-respect, general dignity and physical safety of each resident.
- Promote and maintain positive communication andrelationships among staff, residents and the public.
- Responsible for some or all tasks related tohousekeeping and laundry duties as required.
- Attends and participates in community and education programs.
- Responds to resident and building emergencies.
- Perform other duties as required. Q Q Qualifications and Skills:
- Grade 10 or equivalent combination of education,training and experience.
- 1-2 year's experience in a dining roomenvironment an asset.
- Food Safe Level 1 Certificate
- Serving It Right Certificate as applicable.
- WHMIS Certificate.
- Demonstrates collaborative and team workingskills.
- All successful applicants must pass thevulnerable sector Criminal Record Check applicable to Provincial guidelines.
- Ability to read, write and speak Englishproficiently and understand verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to operate related food serviceequipment.
- Must be in good health, physically able to operatefood service equipment and tasks related to the position. Also, must be freefrom communicable diseases and allergies or conditions which may be aggravatedby working with cleaners, detergents, and equipment.

About the Role
The Server reports to the Support Services Manager and/or designate andperforms all aspects of service in the dining room, resident lounges and roomservice for residents, guests, and the public.
