As a Global Benefits Manager, you will contribute to a wide variety of projects involving the design, financing and ongoing management of the full spectrum of health, welfare and RRSP programs and also oversee Panama, Philippines and UK benefits.

This role will work closely with the benefits team to ensure all plans are compliant and administered consistently. You will serve as the project manager on select projects, interface with vendors and contribute to key communication deliverables.

This individual will collaborate closely with other members of the Benefits team, along with members of Payroll, Finance and HR shared Services.


Responsibilities:


  • Materially contribute to core health and welfares projects involving the design and management of Canadian, Philippines, Panama and UK group medical, dental, life, disability, and time off benefits, including:
  • Benefit plan analysis, design, cost savings and funding strategies
  • Vendor procurement, negotiation, and optimization
  • Incorporation of specialized health management, absence and disability management, pharmacy and compliance strategies
  • Preparing and reconciling biweekly RRSP contributions from Payroll to third party recordkeeper and working with payroll to resolve any RRSP deduction issues.
  • Drafting communications and education material related to benefits.
  • Assisting HR Shared Service members with answering employee questions and working with employees directly as needed to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Ensuring that all retirement and benefit programs and activities comply with related federal and state rules and regulations.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • This person must be, detailoriented, excel in a fastpaced working environment and an effective team player.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 36+ years of experience supporting Canadian health and welfare plans.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce quality deliverables on time, under mínimal supervision.
  • Flexibility and proven ability to identify and resolve issues.
  • Ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients' toughest challenges.
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
