THE ROLE

As a Department Associate (Bakery and Produce), you provide retail services to a unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and in assisting them, you are helping your community. You assist in the set-up of various departments ensuring shelves are stocked, and faced, and properly signed. You provide technical and professional guidance on sales and products and deal with customer concerns or complaints to ensure customer satisfaction. You assist with ordering products and price new inventory.

The Department Associate (Bakery and Produce) may also provide a variety of other retail services, including regular retail services, dry cleaning, lottery services, self-serve gas services, and postal services. You will operate Point of Sales systems, the debit/credit machine, and maintain a float. You may take and prepare food and beverage orders and prepare takeout food, while ensuring cleanliness of food service and eating areas.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience

Food Handling Certification, as required

In retail and convenience operations

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.
