We're not your traditional Mexican place. We just happen to think that tacos are a dish best-served fun, with a side of liquor. Welcome to The Mule, where tacos, tequila & bourbon come to party.

We are Hamilton's favourite lunch spot, regular late-night haunt, and go-to destination for a great bite & drink. Our tacos range from classic Mexican to weird-and-wild-you've-gotta-try-this.


All of our food is 100% gluten-free and we offer a variety of fare that is sure to satisfy either the most dedicated carnivore or delight your vegetarian and/or vegan side.

What's An "Other Bird"?_

The Other Bird is a hospitality family that includes _The Mule_ and _Rapscallion & Co. _(Hamilton, ON), _Burro _(Burlington, ON), _The Mule_ and _Hunter & Co. _(London, ON), _The Mule _(Port Dover, ON), and _The Mule_ (Cambridge, ON).

The Job:


This position is seasonal Possible employment extension will be discussed following the conclusion of the patio season.

  • Provide personable and efficient service to ensure guest needs are met at all times.
  • Be confident in guiding guests in making the best decisions on what to order, and be knowledgeable of all current menu selections & specials.
  • Take a proactive role in encouraging teamwork, cooperation, productivity and a positive attitude within the working environment.
  • Report any concerns to The Mule's Management Team.
  • Complete all side duties/opening duties/closing duties as assigned.
  • At the end of all shifts, complete cashouts accurately, and submit for approval.
  • Attend any training or meetings as and when required by The Mule's Management Team, or the Other Bird Operations Team.
  • Previous experience with Silverware POS is an asset.

Ideally, You Have Experience / Education:_

  • 2+ years of serving experience in a restaurant environment is required.
  • Availability to work late nights (up to 2AM), weekends, and holidays is required.
  • Smart Serve certification is required.
