This position requires a presence at our office located in St-Laurent, Montreal, one day per week, depending on operational needs.

Position Summary

The Business Analytics Manager is responsible for the accurate and timely forecasting deliverables for designated in-line brands.

He provides support to Specialty and Base business units as required to better predict performance and inform brand strategy and tactics.

Success in this role entails proactive and effective stakeholder management (including the ability to influence without authority), attention to detail and intellectual curiosity.

Vice-president, Commercial Operations & Market Access

Specific Responsibilities

  • Prepare dashboard for commercial teams to easily track market dynamics.
  • Develops, enhances and maintains internal forecast models.
  • Present datadriven objectivity into the development of financial and manufacturing forecasts.
  • Ensure that all forecasting questions or followups are closed out in a timely manner.
  • Answer questions regarding brand performance and the source of risks and/or opportunities given the variance between forecast assumptions and actuals registered.
  • Train commercial team to utilize effectively IQVIA
  • Build on the existing model template to include new functionalities and increase the efficiency of product valuation.
  • Provide analytical insights to predict performance and inform brand strategy and tactics.
  • Plays the role of "data miners" bringing various data sources together to formulate superior insights and hypotheses that have a business impact.
  • Presents insights and conclusions to Brand and Sales teams.
  • Develop business development financial models based on data and assumptions provided by the Business Development team.
  • Identify and manage market research projects in collaboration with brand manager by working on methodology, supplier selection, participating in the development of questionnaire and discussion guide.
  • Reconcile the models to help constituents understand the reason for forecast errors and improves the forecasting process on an ongoing basis.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with a quantitative focus in business, finance, engineering, statistics, economics, or any related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in Commercial Analytics, Business Analysis, Forecasting, or Sales Operations, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry or as a Consultant at an agency (e.g. IQVIA, etc.).
  • Experience with Commercial Analytics/Business Analysis models, techniques, procedures and processes and a range of other forecasting models and problemsolving techniques.
  • Indepth knowledge of various pharmaceutical secondary data sources and their limitations (e.g. IQVIA Rx CD&H, Compuscript, Xponent, IMAM, Pharmastat, etc.).
  • Understanding of other Marketing Science functions (i.e., Primary & Secondary Market Research, Commercial Analytics, Marketing / Sales Effectiveness, Competitive Intelligence and secondary data sources) to maximize deliverables.
  • Good knowledge of excel programming.
  • Bilingual, written and verbal, for both language (English and French).
Asset

  • Master's degree in business administration.
  • Experience forecasting specialty products.
  • Understanding of specialty product distribution channels and data nuances (specialty pharmacy).
  • Knowledge of Access or other database software.
