The Security, Health and Safety Manager is responsible for managing the security, health and safety functions and services for the resort.
This position will coordinate all resources necessary to ensure a premium standard of presentation and confidence in the safety and security throughout the resort.
Security services will be provided in all common resort spaces along with optional in-residence and in-boat services for homeowners, members, and guests.
Health and safety responsibilities will include both public spaces and all Colleague areas and functions.Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day security, health and safety operations
Responsible for operation of security, health and safety services Maintain superior guest relations by acting as a liaison between Friday Harbour, homeowners, members, and guests Monitor, control and patrol club houses, retail outlets, offices, operations building, residence units
Requirements Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the hospitality or resort industry 3 years of leadership experience in hotel operations or security Diploma/degree from an accredited university in occupational health and safety, police foundations, criminology, or related field Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, per the Occupational Health and Safety
Act Ontario Ministry of Labour JHSC part 1 & 2 training and certification Must possess Standard First Aid and CPR certificates or obtain within 3 months Licensed under the Private Security and Investigations Services Act Smart Serve Certification Knowledge of occupational health and safety management, federal, provincial, and municipal regulations/legislation, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act and applicable Human Rights Must possess excellent customer service skills Must be computer literate.
Salary:
$90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
