What you'll do:

The position of the Cost & Operations Controller requires solid communication, analytical, interpersonal and time management skills.

The Cost & Operations Controller must be detail oriented and have the ability to reconcile and analyze purchasing and consumption data from several sources.

This position will be responsible for managing the F&B/Purchasing system (Adaco) to ensure full compliance across all hotels in order to achieve maximum cost savings.

In addition, this position is also responsible for the coordination of Capital Project payables between Head Office and the local Project teams.


The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Maintain the Adaco/Fourth inventory and procurement system for the hotel properties in addition to the Capital project modules;
  • Ensure compliance of purchasing and procedural polices related to Food & Beverage and other divisions.
  • Analyze purchasing and consumption data for all hotels in order to identify cost savings opportunities, and develop subsequent plans to exploit these opportunities;
  • Negotiate local, regional and national supplier contracts on behalf of the hotel properties;
  • Responsible for maintaining a central database & Critical Date list of procurement contracts for goods and services across hotels; ensure timely renewals and issuance of notice.
  • Ensure property adherence to supplier contracts and directives;
  • Work closely with and hotel managers to ensure that policies and procedures are effective and practical in the hotel operation;
  • Administer F&B/Purchasing and Inventory system for all properties;
  • Develop annually, along with the hotel Managers, measurable cost savings goals and initiatives;
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process by providing relevant cost data;
  • Maintain a system of key reports for the cost accounting and control function;
  • Produce timely reports to track cost savings and identify trends;
  • Some travel will be required to Larco Hospitality Hotels in Toronto and Vancouver;
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Food & Beverage cost analysis and control
  • Degree or recognized certificate in accounting and/or hospitality
  • Requires excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Highly motivated, a selfstarter and team player in a fastpaced environment
  • Expertise with Excel, Aptech, Profitvue, Yardi an asset
  • Experience with industry standard purchasing and control system
  • Adaco/BirchStreet is desirable
  • Professional, personable and conscientious

Job Types:

Salary:
$70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
