Tasks:


  • Examine and assess behaviour to diagnose behavioural, emotional and cognitive disorders
  • Supervise graduate students, research assistants, paraprofessional staff and other psychologists
  • Provide therapy
  • Counsel individuals and groups to achieve more effective personal, social and vocational development and adjustment
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Plan intervention programs
  • Plan intervention programs
and conduct program evaluation

  • Administer standard psychological tests for assessment
  • Interpret test results
  • Deliver presentations at conferences, workshops or symposia
  • Help clients manage physical illness and disorders

Supervision:


  • Staff in various areas of responsibility

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses:


  • Provincial or territorial Psychologist's Certificate of Registration
  • Membership in a provincial or territorial psychological association
