Position Summary
An Automotive Tire Technician works within the Tire Department under the general supervision of the Store Manager.

The Tire Department is broken into specific Teams, and each Team works together to uninstall and install rim and tire packages onto Cars, Trucks, Vans, SUV's and other types of vehicles.

Required Skills:


An Automotive Tire Technician must possess the following:

• A valid Ontario Driver's License
• Physically fit and able to lift/carry 50lbs
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work as a team player

Duties and Responsibilities
An Automotive Tire Technician is responsible for performing the following duties:

• Perform tire inspections.
• Mount and dismount all types of tires on all types of rims.
• Uninstall and install rim and tire packages onto Cars, Trucks, Vans, SUVs and other types of vehicles.
• Rotate tires, check and adjust tire pressures, install and set tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS).
• Unload transport trucks and inventory tires and/or rims.
• Perform road tests and retorque tires as required.
• Perform light mechanical duties such as oil changes, installing accessories, and assisting technicians as may be required.

Job Types:
Full-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 2-3 months


Salary:
$18.00-$22.00 per hour


Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Overtime pay

Experience:

• Tire &

Lube Technicians: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

• Driver's License (required)
