Salary:
$70,677 - $88,399 - $97,239 per year (pay range explained below)

Hours: 37.5 Hours, Monday - Friday (core hours 9am - 3pm)

Location:
Sinclair Office, Downtown.

Hybrid (50% in office) Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway, after October 2024.


About the role
As the Ability Management Specialist, this role will report to the Director, HR Advisory Services.

Alongside the Ability Management, OHS, and HR Advisory teams, and in conjunction with the manager(s), healthcare providers and insurers, this person will provide expert advice and caring and compassionate ability management program support to FNHA employees in sensitive personal health and wellness situations while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.


About you
To be successful in this role you will have/be

  • A University degree in Disability Management or related field, and a minimum 2 years' of work experience in disability management, return to work programs, and WSBC and STD/LTD claims management, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Certified in Disability Claims Management (CRTWC, CDMP) is an asset.
  • Experienced in a mixed environment with union and nonunion employees;

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level.


As a health and wellness organization, the FNHA has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021.

We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
