Responsibilities and Duties:

Develop and execute daily and weekly operational targets to meet and exceed customer requirements.
Oversee team of warehouse staff (GL's, admin personnel and forklift operators) and daily activities.
Determine staffing levels and equally assign workload
Coach, mentor, and train associates to ensure competence, as well as prepare them for future opportunities.
Managing, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity.
Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
Ensure all corporate policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse floor
Ensure proper usage and maintenance of forklift equipment.
Maintain excellent housekeeping standards
Determines work procedures and expedites workflow; reviews and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency
Lead daily KPI meetings with other departmental leaders and Ops Manager
Any other duties and tasks assigned

Job Specifications (Knowledge, skills and abilities):

A minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership role preferably in 3PL environment
Effective communicator, calm and supportive in stressful situations
Experience with distribution centre processes (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, returns, value added processing);
Excellent understanding of warehouse operations and cost structures

- knowledge of applicable health and safety standards

Superior planning and organizational skills; ability to multitask in a busy environment
Adept at problem solving, conflict resolution and implementing effective solutions
Flexible and creative in overcoming new challenges on a regular basis
Working knowledge of WMS and MS Office Suite. Experience with RF Pathways considered an asset
First Aid certified considered an asset
Postsecondary degree in supply chain or logistics management an asset
