Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Develop and execute daily and weekly operational targets to meet and exceed customer requirements.
  • Oversee team of warehouse staff (GL's, admin personnel and forklift operators) and daily activities.
  • Determine staffing levels and equally assign workload
  • Coach, mentor, and train associates to ensure competence, as well as prepare them for future opportunities.
  • Managing, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity.
  • Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
  • Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
  • Ensure all corporate policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
  • Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse floor
  • Ensure proper usage and maintenance of forklift equipment.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards
  • Determines work procedures and expedites workflow; reviews and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency
  • Lead daily KPI meetings with other departmental leaders and Ops Manager
  • Any other duties and tasks assigned

Job Specifications (Knowledge, skills and abilities):

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership role preferably in 3PL environment
  • Effective communicator, calm and supportive in stressful situations
  • Experience with distribution centre processes (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, returns, value added processing);
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse operations and cost structures
- knowledge of applicable health and safety standards

  • Superior planning and organizational skills; ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • Adept at problem solving, conflict resolution and implementing effective solutions
  • Flexible and creative in overcoming new challenges on a regular basis
  • Working knowledge of WMS and MS Office Suite. Experience with RF Pathways considered an asset
  • First Aid certified considered an asset
  • Postsecondary degree in supply chain or logistics management an asset
