Our
Burlington Automation division located in Hamilton/ON is currently looking for
an Electrical Assembler

Major Responsibilities:

To report to the Production Manager and communicate all matters pertaining to the wiring and terminations of all electrical components within the PythonX structural fabrication system.
To build/wire electrical panels, subassemblies and structures for new installations and for the upgrading of existing equipment.
To troubleshoot any problems which occur within the plant, either on the facility itself or on production equipment.
To follow maintenance schedule as closely as production permits, and when equipment is down temporarily perform such functions as replacing motors, bearings, springs, contacts and on / off switches.
To know that the company safety procedures are contained in reference books, such as SSW Specifications, Plant Rules and Regulations, and Material Safety Data Sheets.
To immediately notify management if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly, or if there are any questions regarding safety procedures.
To continually meet company housekeeping and safety requirements, to identify and report any safety hazards within the plant, meet all WHMIS objectives and standards ensuring that all safety procedures are met.
To participate cooperatively as an employee within the Company Performance Appraisal Process and Merit Rating System.

Minimum Education, Experience and Training Requirements:

High school degree or equivalent
Must be able to lift on a regular basis up to 40lbs
Possess problem solving skills, communication skills
Ability to use power hand tools for aid in assembly
Ability to read a tape measure
Able to understand and interpret the specifications and procedures related to this job
Electrical Assembly experience is an asset
