Business Development Representative - Kantar Marketplace

Toronto, Queen's Quay East; Remote CAD

Why this job is important

  • This role will increase prospecting and outbound efforts to increase the sales funnel for Kantar Marketplace (KMP), which will enhance coverage of our new business growth targets
What you'll be doing

  • Generate new contacts for KMP prospecting doing desk research, using knowledge of the market research landscape, outreach platforms to get contact details and lists, attending networking events, qualifying leads and booking discovery sessions with new Kantar Marketplace prospects
  • Accountable for setting up discovery meetings with brand new prospects that Kantar have not worked with in the past
  • Responsible for all aspects of prospecting, from identifying the sector, company, reaching out and making contact to booking a discovery call with a Client Lead and Solution Expert, creating the outreach marketing and sales materials
  • Identifies client and sector needs that can be used by the KMP Sales Engineer to nurture the relationship and increase revenue and win rates
  • Represent Kantar at sales events, networking and conferences to generate new leads for KMP
  • Identify a successful process for lead follow ups after webinars and events for new clients to Kantar
  • Maintains sales pipeline, forecasts revenues, and provides regular activity reports to management; uses internal systems (Salesforce, Maconomy, etc) to track outreach activity
  • Book in and plan successful client discovery meetings to build new client revenue
  • Understands the competitive landscape and report back to the organization on points of differentiation
  • Ensures a thorough handover of the client to the KMP Sales Engineer or Client Lead who will conduct relevant discovery meetings with the client
The skills & experience needed

  • 5+ years of quotacarrying sales experience in market research, analytics, insights, and media solutions; selling to Chief Marketing Officer and/or marketing decision makers
  • Shown success creating prospect lists with multimilliondollar new business/new logo that delivered incremental revenue
  • Demonstrated ability to translate sophisticated concepts into concise, insightful messaging
- "Hunter"/Sales mentality with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Excellent commercial competence, presentation and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
  • Highly motivated, selfstarter, driver of change and transformation
  • Proven cross portfolio collaboration
  • Market Research, Marketing Analytics, Brand Research experience a plus

  • The salary range for this role in Canada is $63,000 $105,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
